Tamra Bryson, a native of La Porte, Texas, will begin her first season with the UA Fort Smith tennis team.

Bryson, a graduate of La Porte High School, played No. 1 singles, doubles and mixed doubles during her prep career. She was a four-time district champion, a member of the All-District Team and was named MVP as a freshman and sophomore.

The 5-foot-4 freshman was ranked as high as No. 50 in the Texas SuperChamps Division.

Bryson graduated in the top five percent of her senior class and was selected to Who's Who Among American High School Students.
