College Preparatory provides opportunities for individuals to obtain mastery of specific basic, remedial, workplace, and general education competencies. Instruction and academic support in mathematics, reading, writing, basic computer, and study skills are provided. These courses serve students who want to review previously acquired basic skills or gain competence before entering chosen programs of study as well as those who have not yet met the proficiency levels in basic skills required by state law.

Placement in this program is based upon assessment, past performance, instructor recommendation, and information gained through advisement.
