Sigma Nu 5K Race Set for April 3

The Nu Alpha Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will hold the third annual St. Jude Breakaway 5K on April 3 at Fort Chaffee, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the race starting promptly at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for the winners of eight different divisions, four each for men and women. Plaques will also be awarded to the fastest male and female runners. All ages are welcome, including children 12 and under who can participate in a fun run.
Pre-registration cost is $15 and includes a goodie bag with T-shirt. Entries must be postmarked by Friday, March 26, to ensure pre-registration status. Registration the day of the race is $20. Sponsorships are also being sought for cash donations and prizes. For a registration form, go to www.uafssigmanu.org.

St. Jude is one of the major research and treatment hospitals for pediatric catastrophic diseases, primarily dealing with pediatric cancer and serving approximately 4,900 children from across the country and around the world annually. Sigma Nu's 5K event has raised nearly $5,000 for the hospital since its beginning.
