Members from the Phi Beta Lambda chapter at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith received a total of 15 awards at PBL's National Leadership Conference, setting a school record for number of awards at a PBL national conference and leading the state of Arkansas for total number of awards received by a chapter.


Practical Nursing Ceremony on Aug. 5

The awards ceremony for University of Arkansas - Fort Smith practical nursing students who are candidates for graduation at the end of the second summer term will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 in the Weidman Center, room 133 of the Pendergraft Health Sciences Center at UA Fort Smith.


Paradigm and UA Fort Smith Present "Hamlet"

Bob Stevenson said that some of the greatest acting talent ever to grace the stage at UA Fort Smith is being assembled to tackle the "greatest play in Western theatre" when Paradigm Theatre Co. and Theatre @ UA Fort Smith present William Shakespeare's classic tragedy "Hamlet" on Aug. 13-15.


Teachers Attend BEST Workshop

Teachers from seven area school districts and representatives from two universities met July 14 at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith to train for the eighth annual River Valley BEST Robotics Competition scheduled for Oct. 16.


Public Invited to KidFest on July 30

Children and their families are invited to Xtreme Artz KidFest, a free back-to-school bash planned for 6 p.m. July 30 at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.


Cub Camp Namesakes Announced
