Louann Grimmett

[IMAGE: Louann Grimmett] Louann Grimmett is a native of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She received her undergraduate degree in Music Education from Arkansas Tech University. She received her Master’s degree in Conducting from the University of Central Arkansas. Ms. Grimmett has performed with many organizations including: Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony Opera Workshop, Little Rock Wind Symphony, Little Rock Winds Quintet, Pine Bluff Symphony, Conway Civic Orchestra, North Arkansas Symphony, and the Fort Smith Symphony. She recently performed a concerto with the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith Symphonic Band. Ms. Grimmett is a member of the Fort Smith Chorale and is a member of the First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir of Fort Smith. She also has a private bassoon studio where she teaches area Junior High and High School bassoon students. Ms. Grimmett has taught Junior and Senior High band and choir. She has also choreographed auxiliary lines for bands across the state. Ms. Grimmett is currently an adjunct music instructor at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, teaching Applied Bassoon and Music Appreciation WebCT.
