Policies & Procedures
As of summer 2006
Alcohol
In accordance with current University policy, a “No Alcohol” stance will be taken for all events (on- or off-campus). Sanctions will include a meeting with fraternity/sorority leaders with the Greek Life coordinator, director of student programs and/or the vice chancellor of student and campus life. A call may be placed to the national fraternity/sorority office. Additional sanctions including probation or suspension will be considered.
Hazing
For more information on hazing and the University's stance on hazing, please go to
Hazing and Discrimination.
An anti-hazing contract shall be signed by the fraternity/sorority by means of the fraternity/sorority executive team signing the document on behalf of the entire fraternity/sorority.
Training regarding the definition of hazing, types of hazing, and sanctions for hazing will be conducted at least yearly.
Housing
At this point, there will not be traditional fraternity and sorority houses. The University will not allow or offer housing to fraternities or sororities.
