Locating Scores and Recordings
Scores is an approved Library of Congress sub-heading, but may not be searched as a free-standing subject heading. Try a Keyword search to combine the composer name or other term and the word "scores". Notice the word is plural. For example:| handel and scores | cantatas and scores | opera and scores |
Music Streaming
This database provides access to the complete Naxos catalogue as well as those of labels such as Da Capo and Marco Polo. The Naxos Music Library features classical, jazz, world/folk, new age, and Chinese music. Many educational resources are included such as a glossary, pronunciation guide, opera synopsis, history of classical music, instruments of the orchestra and more. A Playlists feature allows instructors to create listening assignments by course name.
