Sigma Delta Mu

The Department of World Languages sponsors the Spanish honor society Sigma Delta Mu, which provides cultural and social activities for the students and the community. Each year, club activities include the Spanish Festival and the annual Winter Coat Drive. During Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15th - Oct. 15th), Sigma Delta Mu also sponsors events which celebrate the richness of Latin culture. Past events have included the performance of cumbia ensembles and Mariachi singers as well as guest- speaker lectures on culturally relevant topics.
