- College of Education
- The College of Education provides teacher preparation in which candidates can earn bachelor’s degrees and associate degrees in early childhood education and middle level education. Certificate programs are provided for persons working in nursery schools. Students majoring in secondary education complete their degrees in the College of Arts and Sciences with the teacher licensure portion in the College of Education under the guidance of the Coordinator of Secondary Education and the Teacher Licensure Officer.
- Early Childhood
- The early childhood program features faculty with extensive public school experience and significant academic credentials. This program provides the skills to serve as a pre-school or elementary teacher in grades P-4.
- Arboretum
- Located in the heart of the natural state's river valley, our 127-acre serene and park-like campus is adorned with 1,182 inventoried trees representing 81 species.

- Education Renewal Zone
- The Western Arkansas ERZ was established in 2005 to address the needs of schools in Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Sebastian, Logan, and Scott counties. Located on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, the Western Arkansas ERZ’s objective is to improve student achievement. Centralizing resources allows schools in Western Arkansas to access instructional, financial, cultural, and technological support.
