The Institute for Math and Science Education (IMSE) is housed in the Echols Conference Center on the UA Fort Smith campus. The goal of IMSE is to assist pre-service and in-service preschool through twelfth grade math and science teachers in meeting the needs of their students through professional development workshops, model lessons, and hands-on training. IMSE maintains a resource center of teaching materials and a library of professional journals and teaching books, all for teacher use and check-out.The Institute for Math and Science Education provides assistance to the following school districts in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma:
