The Health Learning Resource Center (HLRC) is located on the north side of the first floor of the Pendergraft Health Sciences Center on the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith campus, PHSC 116. The HLRC is open Monday through Friday from 8:00-5:00 for use by faculty and students. The staff in the HLRC consists of resource coordinators and student workers. The HLRC atmosphere is learner-center and future oriented. The HLRC offers a variety of media for students to actively engage in learning. The HLRC Coordinator oversees the skills labs located within the school of nursing. The school of nursing is housed on the second floor and features human patient simulator to allow you to practice real-life clinical situations. The HLRC houses close to 1000 videos/DVDs for student use. Study tables are located in the HLRC for group and individual study. Additionally, the HLRC has a collection of textbooks for your use. The welcoming staff can assist you in meeting your learning objectives.
