Degrees

Each department of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a variety of courses designed to satisfy student needs. In fact, most courses taken during the first two years are taught by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty, regardless of students’ majors. All courses offered in the College reinforce proficiencies in the University’s general education competencies.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences works closely with the other colleges to support students whose majors are in other colleges on campus. However, there are also numerous degree programs offered within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, secondary education majors earn degrees in their disciplines from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences while taking 31 credit hours of professional secondary education in the College of Education. Below is a list of degree programs available in the College.
