ACT Residual

ACT Residual Testing Dates for 2009 and 2010 (PDF)

I want to take the ACT/Residual. What do I need to KNOW?

1. Scores from the ACT Residual are only good at the school at which you take the test. The results are used for scholarships and admissions placement. If you are planning on attending the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, and you would like to take a Residual ACT, you need to take it on our campus.

2. The Residual ACT can only be taken every 60 days. If this is NOT your first time taking the Residual ACT, please make sure that you wait at least 60 days before you re-test. If you test after less than 60 days, ACT will invalidate your score, and will not refund your testing fee.

3. You will receive your test scores in a letter from the Testing Center within two weeks of taking the test. Test scores cannot be given over the telephone.

4. Testing begins promptly at 1:00 p.m., and ends by 5:00 p.m. Please allow yourself enough time to find parking, pay the cashier, and arrive at the testing location BEFORE 1:00 p.m. Late arrivals cannot be allowed to test.

I want to take the ACT/Residual. What do I need to DO?

1. Call the Testing Center at 788-7682 to reserve a seat for the test. At that time you will be told where to report on testing day. (The Residual ACT is not administered in the Testing Center, but at various locations on campus.)

2. Pay the cashier the $29 ACT/R Testing Fee. You may do this immediately before your test, but please allow yourself plenty of time to find parking, pay the cashier, and get to the testing room BEFORE 1:00 pm. Please note that the testing fee is non-refundable.

3. Bring your fee receipt, a photo ID, sharpened #2 pencils (NON-MECHANICAL!), and an ACT-approved calculator to the test. Refer to Calculators for a list of prohibited calculators.
