Chapter 30

Veterans who have an honorable discharge or are still on active duty, paid $1200 matching funds, and have served at least two years. Generally, benefits cease 10 years following release from active duty.

Other notes about Chapter 30:

• Service member becomes eligible for Ch 30 and 1607 after serving 730 consecutive days.
• Member must choose EITHER Ch 30 or Ch 1607 and cannot change for the qualifying period.
• Electing for Ch 30 terminates REAP eligibility for the qualifying period
• Ch 30 must verify enrollment monthly beginning on the last day of the month. This can be done by either calling 1-877-823-2378, or through the VA WAVE Website and logging in to WAVE.
