Chapter 1607

Available to members of the Selected Reserve who have been mobilized for 90+ consecutive days since 11 Sept 01. Benefits cease upon discharge. Documentation required for appying includes a NOBE (Notice of Basic Eligibility), Kicker (not every member is eligible for this benefit), copies of your DD-214 form, and a bank deposit slip or voided check.

Other notes on Chapter 1607:

• Recognizes Service Members called or ordered to active duty after 11 Sept 01
• Service in support of a contingency operation
• Eligibility established after 90 consecutive days of active duty service.
• Each mobilization is a seperate qualifying period.
• No delimiting (exparation) date.
• Ch 1607 must verify enrollment monthly beginning on the last day of the month. This can be done by either calling 1-877-823-2378, or through the VA WAVE Website and logging in to WAVE.
