Chemistry With Physical or Earth Science Teacher Licensure

Program Overview

The chemistry degree with physical/earth teacher licensure features chemistry courses taken from science specialists in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and education coursework from educational specialists taken in the College of Education. UA Fort Smith provides a guarantee to school districts that its graduates will be successful. This begins with the class of 2005. The program is designed for students who have graduated in the top half of their high school class and who maintain a 2.75 minimum grade point average during their first two years of college. The College of Education is committed to excellence in teacher preparation through both classroom instruction and extensive field experiences.
