Program Overview
The College of Education is committed to excellence in teacher preparation through both classroom instruction and extensive field experiences, and UA Fort Smith provides a guarantee to school districts that its graduates will be successful. With those ideas in mind, this degree program is designed for students who graduated in the top half of their high school class and who maintain a 2.75 minimum grade point average during their first two years of college. With biology courses from the specialists in the College of Arts and Sciences and courses from the specialists in the College of Education, this innovative program helps students acquire the skills to serve as a life/earth science teacher.
