Graduates of the BSN program are prepared to provide nursing care for individuals, families, populations, and communities within a variety of healthcare settings and to use evidenced-based practice to guide nursing interventions which promote, maintain, and restore health. Admission to the program is selective and graduates are prepared to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses upon successful completion of the program.
The Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN) requires criminal background checks on graduates of nursing schools and has the authority to deny application for licensure to any person who has been convicted of a crime. A student who has been convicted of a crime must contact the ASBN.
