The associate of arts (AA)degree provides the student with the opportunity to obtain the first two years of the college credits toward meeting most of the general education requirements and some of the prerequisites for the baccalaureate degree. Students may complete bachelor's degrees from UA Fort Smith or transfer to institutions of their choice.

Students seeking bachelor's degrees not offered by UA Fort Smith may still complete some or all of their freshman and sophomore year degree requirements here. If transferring, students should follow carefully the degree plans of the institution to which they will transfer.
