Legal Assistance and Paralegal

Program Overview

Students in this program learn to assist attorneys in the research, investigation, document preparation, and writing responsibilities of a law firm, corporation or government agency. The program is approved by the American Bar Association and supports the general principles of ethical legal practice, professional responsibility, and the prohibition against the unauthorized practice of law by nonlawyers.

An associate of applied sciences degree is offered. The classes are all offered at night. Course credit may be received through testing or demonstrated proficiency.
