Bachelor of Science in Marketing
Students can complete the Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree by satisfying the University requirements and the College of Business specific requirements:
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 and a grade of at least a "C" for each course in the College of Business core courses, based on the last grade earned in each course.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 and a grade of at least a "C" for each course required in the major, based on the last grade earned in each course.
- Maintain an overall GPA of 2.25.
- No more than 50% of the minimum courses required for a College of Business baccalaureate degree may be taken within the College. (Up to 9 semester hours of economics and up to 6 semester hours of statistics may be counted as part of the general education curriculum.)
- Requirements for courses to be taken in residency:
- At least 50% of the minimum business courses required for the baccalaureate degree must be taken in residency at UA - Fort Smith.
- MGMT 4813 Strategic Management must be taken in residency.
- A minimum of 48 semester credit hours in upper-division courses is required for graduation. To enroll in upper-division business courses, a student majoring in the College of Business must must meet admission requirements for the College of Business after two semesters.
- All candidates for baccalaureate degrees in the College of Business are required to take a designated major field assessment test. This test is administered as a part of the capstone MGMT 4813 Strategic Management course. Scores earned on the test do not become part of the course grade; however, taking the test is a requirement for course completion.
