Jenirro Bush begins his second season as a member of the UA Fort Smith men's basketball team.
The Starkville, Miss., native is a 2007 graduate of East Oktibbeha County High School, where he averaged about 30 points and more than 10 rebounds per game as a senior. He lead East Oktibbeha County to a 35-5 win-loss record and the Mississippi Class 1A state title as a senior.
He was a three-time All-District selection, a two-time All-State selection and a four-time All-Conference selection. He was a three-time team MVP and was a Nike All-American.
The 6-foot-7 sophomore played in 31 games last season and was the Lions' third-leading scorer with 9.8 points per game. He averaged 4.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.7 steals per game. He shot 44 percent from the field, including 36 percent from 3-point range, and shot 69 percent from the free-throw line.
Bush helped lead the Lions to the Bi-State Conference East Division title and the NJCAA Region II tournament semifinals.
