Throughout the College, you will find highly qualified faculty with many years of experience teaching in their disciplines. Many of our faculty are productive researchers and are active as members of scholarly organizations. You may choose from a variety of degrees available in the College of Arts and Sciences, including many degrees leading to teacher licensure. All of these degrees provide students with the detailed familiarity of a primary discipline. Students also supplement their chosen majors with courses outside their disciplines in order to understand about the world in which they live, to learn more effective written and oral communication skills, and to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills.
