This is the camp everyone has been waiting for! Summer Camp Explosion offers 4 activities all rolled into one big week. You may choose 1, 2, 3, or all 4 of these fantastic opportunities. This summer's blast includes adventures in theatre, dance, show choir, and art. Here are just a few reasons to come join in the fun:

The Academy of the Arts Summer Camp Explosion meets July 28 - August 2. Classes will run daily from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday -Friday. Students participating in the camp will exhibit their work and perform at the Xtreme Arts KidFest on Saturday, August 2 from 10 am - 3 pm. The camp is open to students entering grades 3 - 10. Activities will be divided into two age groups:

Summer Camp Age Groups
Grades 3-6
Grades 7-10

Each activity will meet for 90 minutes daily. Students may choose 1, 2, 3, or all 4 of the activities. These activities are scheduled so that students may participate in any or all areas throughout the day. Should you choose not to participate in all 4 activities, your child may come from 9 - noon or 1 - 4:30. We will have events for your child to participate in during their time on campus. Below is a tentative schedule of times for each activity. Please note that class size is limited. You will receive a detailed schedule of information for your child by July 1.

The camp activities include theatre, dance, show choir, and art. The academy is pleased to present a faculty line-up of distinguished artists who will develop your child's knowledge and skills, and promote their abilities in a nurturing and creative environment. Students will have the opportunity to hone their acting skills in theatre, learn exciting new steps in dance, develop skills in singing popular music in show choir while moving to exciting choreography, and explore drawing, painting, and texture in art of all cultures.

The camp will involve your child in fun-filled sessions that offer unique training and opportunities to explore and focus upon new paths of creativity. We will emphasize an environment that nurtures every child as an individual artist, challenges aspiring artists, promotes positive team work, and inspires students of all ages.
